I spent three days in beautiful France to capture Dubai-based couple Katie and Remy’s wedding day at Chateau de Robernier. I was delighted to have my close childhood friend, Shannon Da Rocha, fly up from South Africa to be my second photographer (the epic landscape shots you see in this post are all Shannon!).
Remy was a superb host and Katie is one of the most relaxed and undemanding brides I’ve ever met – not to mention the fact that she looked exquisite on the day. Most importantly, Katie and Remy love each other deeply, so while the location and venue were obviously beautiful and we were all excited to be there, it didn’t overshadow the real reason everyone was there – to celebrate a lifelong promise they’ve made to each other and to have a fantastic party afterwards!
A big thank you to Katie and Remy for your super hospitality and the privilege of capturing your day. I wish you much happiness together. Thank you to Natalie Ruiz from Wedding Angels. Everything was seamlessly organised and being able to sit down to a beautifully cooked three course meal while on the job was a real treat. Shannon, thank you for being my awesome winglady of mayhem and for coming along with plenty of instant oats. A big Shout out to Sinead McGill from McGill Sister Films, who not only produced a stunning wedding video for the couple, but also shared her toothpaste and provided much needed support and extra coins as I navigated the scary waters of France’s road toll system (which one is the coin picture!?). And finally, the two rude men at Nice Airport who wouldn’t help this pregnant lady carry her luggage down some stairs, you know who you are!
